ABOUT ME
I like to see new places and meet new friends. I love to joke around and make people laugh but I also appreciate meaningful conversation. I'm compassionate and believe that although we all may come from different walks of life, that we all have some level of humanity and that understanding and learning about one another is how to be truly rich in life.
PHILOSOPHY
Live. life is a process not a product.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have met some really awesome people via CS that I still keep in contact with. It's great knowing people all over the country!
Interests
When I meet new people, I like to try and engage them in conversation and find out what they are passionate about, their interests, hobbies, skills, etc. People are so very fascinating and I believe that part of how you learn about yourself is through learning about those you come in contact with along the way.

Music, Movies, and Books
I really enjoy music and going to see live music whether it be going to a weekend music fest filled with 3 days of bluegrass and jam bands to checking out an old punk band in a corner bar. I love playing music!
Also hiking, biking, reading, writing, traveling.
Reading is Cool! Evasion; True Love by Thich Nhat Hanh; Cactus Eaters; Off the Map; The Monkey Wrench Gang; Osho; Tom Robbins
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A year and a half ago, I decided to leave home without any set plan in search for new excitement. I grew up and spent most of my time in Northeast Pennsylvania. After spending over a year in Northern California, I am ready to explore more corners of the country.
Heading to CA with just my backpack, a one way plane ticket, and the wide open road really brought me to life! Uncertainty isn't something to be feared but is something to embrace, at least for me in my 20s that's what I believe.
During my first semester in college, I met a man, no older than 25, who was selling everything he owned at a flea market to move to South Africa and live with a tribe in hopes to help teach sustainability. He gave me a book by Franz Kafka, The Metamorphosis, and told me it changed his life and that I should read it.
He was the most interesting person I have ever briefly encountered and had more of an influence on me than he or anyone will ever know.
Throughout my years in college, I decided I wanted to be more like that man at the flea market: travel, meet people, and help those along the way in whatever way that I could.
