About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Taking in everything that I can and exploring the west coast

ABOUT ME

*AUTONOMOUS
*QUEER
*VEGETARIAN
*LOVER (not necessarily liker) OF ALL PEOPLE & MOST MUSIC
*SARCASTIC
*LEADER
*READER OF BOOKS
*CONSCIOUS THINKER
*OBSERVER & CHANGER OF THE WORLD (aka introverted but ambitious)

I had traveled around quite a bit in my younger years, and I came to settle in DC. I left DC in April of this year and have since been to Seattle, back home to Columbus, and now I'm working here in the Bay Area.

Right now I'm working in Oakland and living in Berkeley w/ my boss--she's cool, but CSing isn't really her thing--but once I get a place of my own I'll definitely offer my couch/floor to folks whenever it's needed:)

I digress...

I like to stay busy and I like people who have a sense of purpose. I'm dorky at times, serious when it comes to the family, and open minded when it comes to new things. I think friends are god's way of apologizing for family so I love em, support em, and take care of em just like they do for me. I want to learn to play the guitar. I don't really like to categorize myself; sometimes I go w/ the flow and sometimes I NEED to have a plan, sometimes I might seem butch, and sometimes I might look a lil femme. I can't really put EVERYTHING about myself on here, now can I?

Anything else..... ask and you shall recieve. ;)

PHILOSOPHY

It is what it is; I try not to dwell on the would-ah, could-ah, should-ahs that happen in life and look at what's happening right now. I think that I learn more about myself with each interaction that I have with others. I feel that not enough personal responsibility is taken when it comes to certain issues and people try far too hard to ignore that we are connected in one way or another-- and if we did the world would be a lot nicer. I live my life for my family, and my family is you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm most def willing to meet up w/ folks or give advice for places where I used to live. Since I'm out weest now I plan on doing more surfing up and down the coast. I also like meet ups w/ fellow surfers, the stories can get really interesting :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed with Lisa via CS, and lots of other people just through local activist channels in DC while I was trying to find a place to stay. Sometimes for a few weeks and sometimes for a few days. It was all good and I've definitely learned what I can and can't live without.

Interests

People, activism, adventures, learning about new things/people, love, music, sub-cultures, cooking, reading, expression through all forms of art, annnnnnnnnd............. CHOCOLATE ;)
