About Me

CURRENT MISSION

travel the world with no timeline. live, enjoy life and meet awesome people along the way!

ABOUT ME

The main thing you need to know about me is that I live for adventure and I am always up for a good time. I truly enjoy people and I look for the good in everyone and everything. I am enthusiastic, always positive and I love hugs! I play the ukulele in my spare time and I love sitting in the park playing music and soaking up the sun.
I love summer, I spend most of my time in the san juans working at an outdoor adventure summer camp. my love for the outdoors is deeply rooted in camping and hiking, i love all kinds of outdoor activity and I am up for just about anything. I love spontaneity, I don't like to schedule things way far in advance.
I love bring people together, I love introducing different people to each other and watching their friendship grow. I love potlucks and music sing-a-longs, there is a special bond in a community that can eat and sing together.
98% of the time I hate pop culture, I don't like to live mainstream and I will be damned if the jersey shore is what defines my generation. however the last 2% falls into a category called guilty pleasure, I love to dance and the most catchy-beat pumping music comes from pop-culture. so yes I will sing along to bruno mars song every once in awhile:)

PHILOSOPHY

live for adventure, feel anything and everything, be genuine and laugh a lot, at yourself and with your friends.

hate is a strong word I never use, there is always room to understand all types of people and you always have something in common with someone, even if it is as simple as you are both human.

be spontaneous and open to new things and new people. the best lessons I have learned have been from people I was too quick to judge.

be helpful and kind.

treat others how you want to be treated.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

well, I am about to go on an epic 3 month adventure in Ireland and surrounding countries. I am eager to couchsurf and I hope to return the favor when I get back and move into the great city of seattle.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am brand new to the couch surfing community. my roommates and I have been a host a few times and it was a wonderful experience. I love showing guests the secret gems of my beautiful city and I love meeting new people and making connections all over the world.

Interests

the outdoors and all activities surrounding it....except base jumping, because I dislike the idea of falling to your death.
music and dancing, I love old-time music and I love contra/square dancing.
I LOVE writing letters! There is something so intimate about sitting down and writing a personal hand written letter, licking the stamp and sending it off into the mail world. I also love receiving letters, penpals are also awesome.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning about all kinds of different things. I am pretty crafty, I recently learned how to bind books ( I would love to teach anyone this beautiful and simple craft) I can crochet a hat and scarf in no time and i am slowly learning how to knit. I would love to learn anything you are willing to teach me. I would love some help with my cooking skills (i'm a great sous-chef) but I would love to move up in the hierarchy of cooking.
really I am just interested in learning and sharing.
