Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Finding decent places to live for a few years whilst keeping business moving in the right direction.
ABOUT ME
I work remotely from pretty much anywhere at the moment. I learn a little something everyday, so I'll keep on going. I firmly believe it's better to travel well than to arrive.
PHILOSOPHY
I have an entrepreneurial instinct which is quite helpful if you want to travel, but where it will lead me in the future is anyone's guess. I hope one day to put it to good use.
I'm not too different from anyone else, but im fairly independent and form my own views. I have to be able to laugh or i'll cry...don't take me too seriously.
On travel - "I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel's sake. The great affair is to move." - Robert Louis Stevenson
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I came across CS on my travels, so naturally most of experience has been based on the kindness of others hosting me. My town is of little interest to tourists and has 100+ CS hosts, but I did repay a little faith by offering a couch during my stay in Thailand, 2012.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Nothing but positive experiences so far and i'm just getting started. I believe people are generally good at heart and i seem to have met some of the best.
Interests
Football. Fiestas. Travel. Tea. Business. Books. Skylines. Sunsets. The way things work. The reasons they don't. Dogs. Power Showers. Carrot Cake. Coffee.
Lists.
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Shawshank Redemption, Hotel Rwanda, Gladiator, Humman Traffic, Blood Diamond, A Beautiful Mind.
Music. My musical taste was long described as that of a 13 year old girl. I am perhaps a little culturally challenged with music, but that's improving and i'm always open to suggestions: Coldplay, Snow Patrol, Eminem, Kings of Leon, Moby, Seal, David Guetta, Paul Kalkbrenner, Rudimental et al....tropic house...Robin Schultz, Klingande & co
Books. Each of these are really thought provoking in their own ways:
Three Cups of Tea - Peter Mortenson
The Wrong Way Home - Peter Moore
The Damage Done - Warren Fellows
First They Killed My Father - Loung Ung
Emergency Sex - Kenneth Cain
The Power of One - Bryce Courtney
The Bookseller of Kabul - Ãâ¦sne Seierstad
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I´ve tried to cram a lot into my 26 years, so that's quite tricky. You inevitably end up doing a lot of incredible activities when you're in certain countries, skydiving, scuba diving, summiting mountains and the like. But I personally prefer the small, personal experiences like getting drunk on a bus in El Salvador after the locals insist on stopping the bus to buy more beers for you. Or a whole village turning out to watch you play football in rural Vietnam, absolutely convinced that you're David Beckham. That doesn't really answer the question though, does it?
Teach, Learn, Share
Try not to impose your thoughts or ideas on people in a forceful manner. You're not always right.
