ABOUT ME
I'm currently studying linguistics at Cologne University and languages are my passion. I've always been interested in different cultures and love meeting people from all over the world. I'm originally from Germany but I've also lived in Sweden and Japan, where I met many awesome people. I travel whenever I have the time.
I'm polite, respectful and spontaneous, tidy and I always respect other people's property. I'm an honest person and I always try to give my friends a helping hand whenever needed. I like having a good conversation, share experiences and learning new things.
When I lived in Japan I was almost addicted to karaoke and would go every weekend. But although I like going out I'm not a heavy drinker (and someone has to drive, right?).
I'm a vegetarian but I don't mind if you're not :)
PHILOSOPHY
Live and let live.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Some of my friends did couchsurfing in Japan and I thought I'd give it a try. I have hosted a couple of times but mainly my friends from Japan and Sweden. I enjoyed showing my guests around Cologne and I always had a very good time hosting.
Interests
Well, I enjoy pretty many things: languages (learning & teaching), cultures, travelling (surprise!), I totally dig music, I also like reading, fashion, drinking coffee with my friends, i loooove watching scrubs, discussing politics, i'm interested in budo (i do kyudo myself), I used to work with children and I enjoyed that, too. I used to play handball, which I absolutely loved but unfortunately I don't have the time for it anymore.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: anything by tarantino
Music: too much to list...I've been listening to a lot of indie stuff and electronic music recently. i also listen to some punk, industrial and classical music. nine inch nails, arctic monkeys, these new puritans, rammstein, late of the pier...to name just a few.
Books: i only read linguistics related books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I took a train in Tokyo during rushhour...and here's the point: I survived!
Teach, Learn, Share
I study linguistics/phonetics and japanese studies so if you're interested I can teach you many things (unfortunately not everything) about languages and possibly even some basics phrases in one of the languages I know.
As for learning I'm open to everything. I always enjoy learning new things. I'm really poor at cooking so if someone could teach me how to cook (vegetarian!) food that would be awesome!
