About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Teaching English by day, finding cheap flights by night.

ABOUT ME

Shiftless, dancing, running, used to enjoy long nights before I realized the best conversations don't normally happen after 4:00AM.

PHILOSOPHY

Practice empathy, especially when it's hard to.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted in my beautiful house in SF while I had a room there as well as entertain other surfers that the landlords hosted. I haven't had as many opportunities to connect with people I first met through the website. Parties, shows, and friends have normally been the source of guests for me in the past.

I've started off as a surfer on a road trip around the pacific northwest. Met some great folks and made some old friends.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Showing up at a stranger's house in Tahoe at three o clock in the morning after a 13 hour drive through high winds and snow only to get dressed in three hours and hitchhike to a job fair at a ski resort at 6am. I got the job and got to meet my amazing host when I got back.

Interests

Just looking for kindred spirits to share space with, talk nonsense, dance until dawn, or go for some tranquil walks. I hope think that should be too hard to find.
I absolutely adore Literature. From the trashy sci fi to the pretentious classics. I try to be a xenophile in most of my interests as well, I try to find something that is just the right kind of disturbing or weird.
I think paramount to all of this is my love of connection and learning through it. Friends or lovers, falling for someone is the ultimate come up.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Working as a cave guide over a summer in Sequoia National Park is one.

Teach, Learn, Share

You're either surrounded by tourists or nobody can understand a word you're saying, go for the latter.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook (and clean) a variety of plates, I've tried to pick up something from each place I've lived or fellow cook that I lived with. If you're looking for someone to do a pub crawl with I'll begrudgingly join you until about the third drink, than I'll happily join you. IMPORTANT NOTICE: If we go out and the music is good I might stay out until sunrise but only if you're game. I also love warm chats indoors as well with no pretense or drinks.

Countries I’ve Visited
