ABOUT ME

I'm studying Estonian traditional music at UT Viljandi Culture Academy and therefore play a wide variety of Estonian traditional instruments like jew's harp, bagpipes, 6-stringed harp, but also guitar, piano, flute. I'm pretty much into music whether through creating, playing or listening to it. Since Estonians are elves, I, like others my kin, can not stay away from nature to marvel its beauty wherever possible. Once in awhile I also like to push the limits by kicking myself out of the usual comfort-zone and pick up hazardous adventures to satisfy the need for adrenaline... just trying to live simple and to the fullest. There's quite a lot of Libra in me, so decision making is not my thing but all that is hedonistic is my thing for sure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've provided couch on numerous occasions to different people from different countries, but mostly without CS being the middle man here. Anyways I think it's really fun way to meet people and I'll see to that this 'tradition' continues.

Interests

I am really into music, mostly different ethnic traditional and really archaic sounding stuff mixed with electronics, synthesizers' sound. I have studied music since the age of five and play different kinds of woodwind instruments. I believe in expressing ones emotions and thoughts through music. I'm also interested in traditional ways of life as being developed through centuries while staying organic and sensible with your surroundings. Sustainability kicks ass!
Since I've lived basically whole my life in smaller town, it's very important to me to get out of the city once in a while. To just walk in the nature, enjoy forest's sounds, smells, colours, take a swim in the sea, go trekking etc.
I'm also interested in food and cooking and experimenting in this field. The more countries I visit, the more inspiration I get to try out different cuisines and grow my own veggies.
Plus I've recently picked up DIY-ing. My own soaps, lip balms, creams. The ideas grow bigger and bigger.
