Overview
About Me
Hi! I'm Vy; very happy to make your acquaintance. I used CS (both as host and traveler) for a few years before the pandemic, but haven't had the chance to use it as host or traveler since then. I had roommates for the past few years and weren't comfortable sharing an already shared space with others, but now that I have my own space again, I'd like to be a safe stop for fellow solo travelers (especially female) to rest their head on their travels. Would love to share stories and build a network.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I really want to indulge both my wanderlust as well as my curiosity of people and the world around me. I'd love to not only travel but to be able to get more out of each experience than just a tourist absentmindedly floating through each major attraction. I want to really dive into each city and experience the culture, food, and local people.
I'm hoping these experiences will help me become more of the person I want to be.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a dichotomy of sorts. I love mellow, calming, mood music yet I'm perky and full of life. Some of my favorite movies are Pretty Woman, Savages, A Beautiful Mind, Legally Blond, Pride and Prejudice, and Lilo and Stitch, and the list goes on and on.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveling overseas for the first time on my own. This was a really big deal for me because I'm so used doing everything with company. I would never have been caught eating out alone or going places alone before but after learning to travel alone and the freedom that comes with it, I'm proud to say I can do any and everything by myself if I really needed to. Company is great, but not necessary.
That and putting myself through grad school. Baby steps y'all, baby steps. ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm not quite sure what I have to offer in the teaching category. I've been told that I have somewhat of an old soul and love to give advice or just philosophical ideas. My undergraduate degree was in Philosophy, so I'd love to be able to discuss and exchange in deep conversations with others. Oh, and I live by the Law of Attraction so I'd love to spread that philosophy also!
I love to learn in general, but at the top of the list is my love to learn about people and their experiences. I love to understand how each person ticks. This world has so much to offer and I want to soak it all up in hopes that I will become a better person for it.
I tend to be a very happy, fun, and upbeat person. I believe in spreading joy, cheer, and laughter. I've been told time and time again that my happiness, bubbly character and giggles are contagious. I definitely want to share some story-telling and laughter all around.
**If you would like to be hosted, please first read the "My Home" section thoroughly.
What I Can Share with Hosts
With all that I've stated above, the only thing I can really, truly share with any host is my company. I love to laugh and to make other laugh, so I hope to bring a little sunshine into your life.
