CURRENT MISSION

I just want to explore the entirety of time and space (or at least whatever my life will allow me to), and along the way spread smiles, hugs, laughs, and love.

ABOUT ME

I'm 25 years old and I've done my best to cram as much living as I can into that time on this planet. I've lived in the Quad Cities most of my life, and I love this place and the many many amazing people I've come to love around here. My friends tend to describe me as the nicest/happiest/best person they know.
I love/live for adventure and exploration. So far in my life I've not had nearly enough of them though.
I'm a lover of life and everything it has to offer me. I do my best to enjoy everything the world has to offer, from nature hikes and sitting by the river, to going to art galleries and live music, to just hanging out with friends and engaging in our wacky shenanigans. It's quite rare to ever see me without a huge smile on my face and I'm known far and wide for having the loudest and most infectious laugh you'll likely ever know. I love to sing and dance, though I'm not particularly good at either. Also, I'm a night owl.
I generally just look forward to seeing the world and all the experience it and it's people have to offer.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life passionately, diliberately and sincerely. In everything I do, I make sure I do as much good as I can. Whatever course of action will make a positive influence on the world around me is the one I will take. I believe in peace, love, and understanding above all else.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music, movies, and books.
As far as music goes, I'll listen to pretty much anything. I guess you could say I'm a big fan of the Rock and Roll, Blues, Alternative (as much as I hate using that word to describe a genre), Electronica, and Folk. A few of my favorite bands/artists are Devo, OK Go, Andrew WK, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Foxy Shazam, Motion City Sountrack, Cake, Ludo, They Might Be Giants, Electric Light Orchestra, The Mountain Goats, The Scissor Sisters, and I'm going to stop there before my list continues forever.

I just love movies. It's as simple as that. A few of my favorites would be The Big Lebowski, Fight Club, Pulp Fiction, The Thing, Back to the Future, Clerks, Blade Runner, Scott Pilgrim, Inception, American Psycho, Spirited Away, Wall E, Primer, The Fifth Element, Toy Story, and this is another list that could go forever if I let it.

Books. I love books, though I don' read as many now as I used to. A few of my favorites are Dune, American Gods, Fight Club, Slaughterhouse 5, Brave New World, 1984, Scott Pilgrim, Transmetropolitan, The Lord of The Rings Books, anything by HP Lovecraft or Doctor Seuss.

I love to learn, and I love to teach as well.

I want to learn anything and everything I can in life. The pursuit of knowledge has long been a driving force in my life.

I'm no expert in anything, but I read a lot about history (I'm a big fan of early American history particularly), and I read a lot of science blogs covering all sorts of new discoveries in all the fields of science (I take a large interest in astronomy, physics, quantum mechanics, particle theory, and evolutionary biology). I'm also full of all sorts of trivial knowledge, so a nice tidbit of useful information might come through from there every now and then.
