I'm an easygoing and open minded guy who can be a bit quiet at first, but when warmed up might even talk too much. Up to talk about anything, the sky's the limit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had some visiting surfers testing my couch and quite a few meetings locally. More to come.

Visiting other countries and maybe even be hosted for the first time.

If you're just interested in getting a free accommodation or a quick sleeping stop before going somewhere else, then please move on and find some other place to stay.

I'm more up for discussion, sharing cultural and world views, doing things such as cooking good food or having a get-together with other CS members locally.

Interests

Lots of sports activities. In the summertime beach volley, swimming, bicycling, roller blading, hiking, camping, running, jogging.

In the wintertime: gym, skiing, snowboarding.

So basically I like to exercise a lot :-)

I like to eat good food and sometimes it means that I have to take the apron and start cooking myself, which is part of the fun. Are you ready for some experimental dishes ? (I haven't killed anyone so far with my cookings. As far as I know...)

What else. Well I'm a music-a-holic. You can find out more by taking a look at the pictures I've put up. I have quite a collection by now. I listen to music all the time.

Then off course I like reading books, going to the movies, meeting with my friends and traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Lot's of 80's (Kershaw, T'pau, Def Leppard), all sorts electronic / ambient stuff (Delerium, J-M Jarre, Tiesto). Everything with nice vocals and catchy melodies. I'm not tied into any specific genre.

Books: mostly sci-fi & fantasy but I'll read anything if it is recommended by a friend

Movies: 12 Monkeys, Strange Days, Donnie Darko, Willow

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every time I go hiking in the Finnish Lapland and see the beautiful nature and landscapes. A place where you really find your peace of mind.
