Overview
About Me
I have been living in foreign countries for different amounts of time as soon as I was allowed to get on a plane on my own. I always loved diving into a new culture and learning a language. At 17 I fell in love with the US and went to high school here for a year. At 20 I lived in Canada and then at 25 went back to the States, teaching my mother tongue and exploring all those beautiful sites there are to see. I just started a new job at the linguistics department of my university and am pursuing my PhD. I have lived my life hopping back and forth in between two cultures, enjoying the benefits of both and I met many great people along the way...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
... which is why I am on couch surfing. Meeting interesting people is the most valuable thing about traveling to me. I've had wonderful conversations with locals on top of Camelback mountain, on Canadian ferries, in Viennese ticket offices and Philadelphia museums. I want to couchsurf to collect more of those memories.
Interests
I love to read, listen to music, sing, hike, dive dance, run, have a great cup of coffee or tea, cook and bake from scratch, travel and I watch certain TV shows.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't like to narrow it down too much. Let me sleep on your couch and I can explain all my theories as to why the combination of the particular base line with a completely different refrain makes me fall for a song, why the end of this particular book makes it the best of all times or why I can't stop laughing about this one actor, even if my brain thinks he's stupid.
What I Can Share with Hosts
