About Me
ABOUT ME
I was born in Belgrade, Serbia but my mom and I moved to Salzburg, Austria when I was very little. I grew up there, finished High School and moved to Vienna to study Linguistics. I am
- writing my dissertation
- playing guitar in an indie-pop band
- organizing a monthly club in Vienna called club d'hommage
- producing a quarterly fanzine called Hommage
- working as a sports-journalist (american football)
Since I moved to Vienna I developed a healthy popculture nerdism, mainly centered on music (Canada was my big thing in the Naughties) and TV Shows (Joss Whedon stole four years of my life).
PHILOSOPHY
As a student, I think life entails learning, growing and changing. Being dynamic and flexible, open-minded and friendly is very important to me. The world is bleak enough as it is for us to contribute to that. I like to feel like a positive force out there.

Music, Movies, and Books
Oh, where to start....
Music:
- Broken Social Scene (and everything they entail)
- My Latest Novel (If I would ever do a concert where I cover one album from the first song till the last one, I would cover their debut "Wolves". Songwriting that gives me the chills.)
- Smog/Bill Callahan (I grew up with his music. Still love him.)
- Cloud Cult (Blew my mind with "The Meaning of 8")
- Kante (Just a Monolith. Shivers. Exhaustion.)
TV:
Three big tent-poles there.
- Joss Whedon (Buffy/Firefly/Dollhouse/Dr. Horrible... )
- The Wire (Not done with the final season yet, but I already know that shows like this don't come around so often)
- Community (This is a map of my brain.)
Movies:
I do enjoy the usual indie-film maelstrom, but I am a big sucker for smart big-time movies. So, my favorite director right now gotta be Christopher Nolan. Really, anything from him, I almost always weep.
Books:
Right now I'm into dystopian and bleak stuff like..
- Slaughterhouse-Five (Vonnegut)
- 2666 (Bolano)
- Anything from Kazuo Ishiguro
- Anything from Dennis Potter
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been to Lausanne. I don't think I will ever see such a beautiful city again.
