About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be in the NOW as much as possible ;)

ABOUT ME

Hello you! I am Wieteke and I live in Amsterdam. My life motto is; go with the flow, it will bring you all you need :) I have great trust in this universe - and I am a great magnet for like-minded souls, so you must be one ;) I work internationally. Both as a freelance artist and as an 'Interstellar (multidimensional) Contact Facilitator' (sharing energiework and channelings).
Ok - are you still there? ;) Then you just passed the test haha :D
In other words; if you like incredible life-stories and cutting-edge philosophical conversations; you came to the right person ;)
At the same time I'm very down to earth and practical as well - I get along with basically anyone - without needing others to look at things the way I do - so there is a nice laid back balance ;))

I love to see and meet people and friends, visit parks and nature around and in this city with you (when you come over here) or anywhere on the world when I go to meet you :). I love healthy biological & vegetarian & vegan and/or RAW food and am interested to learn more about all this, so if you like to cook, bake, make shakes, picknick outside (or inside;) and/or exchange recipes, you are in the right place:) I like reading and love to talk about books and (cult- or the more art-house-ish) movies. I am involved in the more alternative scene (dance, theater, arts, spiritual, yoga, breathwork etc) here in Amsterdam and so I know some really nice places to go where you can eat low budget organic-veggie meals, or see a movie in a squat together with other travellers/ people from other countries.

My life is very free and flexible but on the same time I can suddenly be very busy because of my freelance work. You can never tell / I can never tell - and that's just how I like it ;) If I host I will be as available as possible :) So if you are looking for a relaxed and healthy way to check out this city, maybe including camp-fire nights on nearby location and visit some small alternative places, talking stargazing - daydreams and such, I'd love to meet you and you are very welcome in my house :)

PHILOSOPHY

Be in the now- and all the things you need- will find you :)

I sincerely believe everyone has a gift to share with the world, and that self-empowerment is the future. Trust in yourself and be free. I live in a way that illustrates my believes as much as possible, I am still taking steps to get closer and closer to living my dream-life every day. But in another way I am also already there right now :D !!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I travel and get really curious about a place- I sometimes ask to stay a little longer when the atmosphere is good and surroundings are beautiful. I truly love to get to know both people and places as well as possible if there is time available. I can offer my gifts and creative talents in return; I love facilitating a channelling for anyone curious - or painting your house/furniture/make mural designs/cook a meal/mix a smoothie/invent a desert, work in your garden sing you a song or play you some music (if you have a acoustic guitar laying around ;)) I just love to share and give while I'm receiving the hospitality of others :) Likewise I love to host people with the same attitude that like to really make the whole visit something special, I am always surprised how much time there suddenly appears to be available then ;)

Practically: I can offer a 1 person mattress/bed on the floor in the livingroom, I live in a small apartment but it is very cosy, colourful and authentic - it very much has a holiday-feel to it :) If you are a couple, you can sleep here too, but then one of you will have to sleep on a (pretty comfy) inflatable (Nomad) mat.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have always had good experiences with couchsurfing, whether I was travelling/surfing myself or hosting other people's couch surfers that were 'send along' to also stay with me for a few days ;) Until beginning of 2012 I did not have an account but I had been using this network (hosting and surfing 'along' through others with an account) for about 8 years now. In all of this time I never had any bad experiences :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Art-house movies especially, and books with a philosophical, spiritual, open-minded atmosphere in it, I like both movies and books that kind of poeticly or even wordless balance on the edge of dream-and waking-state. To me an absolute art-piece in this category is the film: "Waking life" (2001-directed by Richard Linklater).// Music; 20ties-60ties-Goa-Worldmusic-Beatles-Hang-Classic- very wide interest..even an engine running in the street can sound like music if you listen to it with an open mind ;) books; I love to learn and be taken on an adventure at the same time- or read poetry, or write my own ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There is not 1 amazing thing I have seen or done in my lifetime, my lifetime IS the one amazing thing - and it is here and now, and I see and do it all the time :D

Teach, Learn, Share

Learn: yoga, recepies and health-food tips, and by meeting you I will learn to know (even more :) new ways to look at life - for everyone adds to it in a unique way :)

Teach: YES- lets totally by accident teach eacht other cool stuff - and then discover that it was probably exactely the thing we needed to know at this time in our life :) This is one of the amazingly beautifull things I love about life / and meeting (new) people :))

Share; synchronisities ;) life-fun-words-laughter-thoughts-footsteps-walks-skies-clouds-water-dreams-food-sounds-music-starry night skies-...
