ABOUT ME

My dad once said to me "Your presence belies your physical size." I like to think that is an accurate description of myself. At five foot three (1.6 meters for the rest of the world!) I do not have the largest stature but my character is rather tall. I wouldn't quite classify it as a "Napoleon Complex" but more like I was supposed to be born tall and must have thought so ever since I was a baby. But that's enough about my height.

I am a fairly easy going and laid back person. I do have some pretty radical political and social views that I hold steadfast to but I also know how and when to make/take a joke. I am also constantly trying to improve upon not taking myself or my life too seriously. However, I like to take life somewhat seriously since it's the only one I know and I like experiencing emotions. This already sounds more serious than I intend for it to!

I can get along with just about anyone even if I don't like just anyone. The things I appreciate most in people are people that are genuine, willing to be true to their feelings, humorous, open to being intellectual, and open to doing different things. I realized recently I also have the tendency to befriend the types of people that I have to preface to all the other kooks I befriend.

I have a huge heart but I'm also incredibly sassy. I love my family, friends, and dogs a whole lot. I feel like I could go on forever and say nothing, say everything I mean to say, or say exactly the opposite of what I mean to say. The written word can only explain so much, let's meet!

I would say I can relate to ideas put forth by Carl Sagan, Brian Wilson, and Anais Nin particularly well.

Also, let's just say, I wouldn't mind having a Motorcycle Diaries-esque experience.

PHILOSOPHY

I think the two most important things in life are gaining knowledge, in whatever capacity you see fit and having personal human connections.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am brand new to the CS Project. I am hoping to use it as a means to get accustomed to new cities and meet new people. Also, I am looking to use CS as a way to connect to places to stay while in the interim of finding a place for myself. Hopefully I will one day also be able to provide the same experience for others.
