Overview
About Me
I am a biologist, grew up in Switzerland, and I am half Belgian. I have been a scout for a few years, and that was the most wonderful school of life I could have ever imagined. I was lucky enough to travel every year since I was young, mostly throughout Europe, but also across the rest of the septentrional northern hemisphere (which means...3 countries :P) and Central America. I am deeply interested into understanding how the world works, and into discovering the fascinating diversity forming our planet.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I want to experience the immersion in the places I travel, by meeting the people living there, understanding their place, their culture, and for the fantastic yet so simple opportunity that it gives to connect and share with people having completely different lifes.
And, if I get the occasion, I would be very pleased to welcome you, help you, and share with you some of what I think makes the place I live a special place, with beautiful diversity, hidden treasures and a life of its own.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to various stuff, but I am particularly bound to hip ho, for the musical but also cultural and crictical-minded aspects of the movement, latino music (a few months under musical perfusion in Honduras, and now I'm done for the rest of my life!), and Irish music :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Learning fly fishing for 5 months between Russia and Alaska and not catching any fish (for my defense: long story short). I am sure that I have been elected "2015 best friend of the trouts" between Vladivostok and Calgary. This year I decided that my passion was definitely river conservation.
