Living the dream!
ABOUT ME
Away from Australia for 2 years now, I'm currently living in the UK in the wicked city of Bristol. I spent about 18 months travelling to get here, mostly in Asia and Eastern Europe, probably the best year and a half of my life!!! Did loads of couchsurfing and hitchhiking in that time and now it is totally time to give back! Since I don't have a car I guess I'll just have to offer my couch :-)
PHILOSOPHY
"The whole is greater than the sum of its parts"
"Be the change you want to see in the world"
"Whatever you do don't be bored, NOW is the most exciting time you could possibly hope to be alive"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
When I joined couchsurfing I thought I would surf but would avoid hosting. Now I realise that couchsurfing is so much more than accomodation. Its a cultural exchange that makes travelling so much more real and rewarding. Travelling without couch surfing is boring and blind. I love the global community that is couch surfing and can't wait to repay and pay forward all the fantastic couch surfing experiences I have had whilst travelling. I can honestly say I've never had a bad experience. Couch surfing is an idealogy I'll fight to keep alive!

Music, Movies, and Books
Movie: Waking Life.
Books: I prefer science books, the real world is so much crazier than anything fictional.
Music: Trip hop, dubstep, drum and bass.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living through the Sichuan Earthquake in China. The event itself was terrifying yet exhilerating. Seeing the Chinese people pull together in the aftermath, EVERYONE volunteering their time to help out, volunteering their money even though they had so little themselves, volunteering their clothes and blankets. In such an extremely capitalist culture it was so reassuring to see how much the people pulled together, and I am certain it was this generosity that saved the lives of almost everyone not killed in the initial quake.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've taught a few people how to juggle while couch surfing :-)
The university of Queensland also thinks I am a Software Engineer, I can pass on what they taught me.

Albania, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Croatia, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Latvia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Viet Nam
