About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Continuing Outdoor Adventure with my child

ABOUT ME

I love both the city and the country and I haven't gone long with out one or the other. In general, I do lead an active life through volunteering, committees, travel, outdoor habits, and studying.

I am currently a registered emergency room nurse who has worked in rural Northern Canadian communities and currently working in a larger hospital in Toronto, Canada.

I have a love for listening to live instrumental music.

I enjoy the great OUTDOORS and presently wanting to share Mother Earth's wonders with my baby boy.

PHILOSOPHY

The only life you will live is yours

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Northern Light Show

Teach, Learn, Share

Pack Jello in your first aid kit. Why?

For people in severe hypothermia, the stomach has shut down and will not digest solid food but can absorb water and sugars. Give a dilute mixture of warm water with sugar every 15 minutes. Dilute Jello™ works best since it is part sugar and part protein. This will be absorbed directly into the blood stream providing the necessary calories to allow the person to rewarm themselves. One box of Jello = 500 Kilocalories of heat energy. Do not give full strength Jello even in liquid form, it is too concentrated and will not be absorbed
