I have lived in Olympia for the past 10 years but am originally from KY and VA. I have been involved in social movement organizing for a long time and have worked at nonprofits, for government agencies and labor jobs. I believe in community service, did two years of Americorps in Seattle in environmental restoration and trail work many years ago. I try and be a good person as the major goal of my life.

Occasionally I have travelled like to Ecuador, Venezuela, Honduras and Nicaragua not to mention Canada and Mexico. I also have visited most states. I believe in supporting travelers as an enriching aspect of life and I don't have the means myself to travel without the mutual aid of others.

I lived out of a backpack for four summers doing environmental work in wilderness so I can sleep on floors or in backyards and feel grateful for it. I am a polite and helpful person, that is the bit of southern hospitality in me. I clean up after myself and chances are I'm traveling for good reason with a plan.
