ABOUT ME

We live on the border of Tel Aviv, near where everything happens, but in a quiet and safe neighborhood. We like to travel a lot. We have two kids that are real travelers - a 3 years old son who's been six times abroad, and a one year old daughter who's been two times abroad.
Over the years, our preferences have changed, and now instead of partying and exploring Tel Aviv, we mainly SAY we do that.

Never say no to an offer that will probably make your day more interesting (Although it could get you in a lot of trouble too!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We couch surfers and surf couches.
And more specifically, we try to show & teach everyone our culture, and we try to learn the culture of others.
Obviously, this is done best by unique experiences, laughter, and some stupid bets :)

Fun dinner with Fernando, whom we hosted a year before, in Madrid;
Tapas nights with Domi in Granada;
A jam-session with Giedre & Jose in Madrid;
An exploration of the botanic gardens in Tel Aviv with Josh;
An amazing conversation about east & west Germany with Lea & Markus;
Cooking an Israeli dinner with Israeli music with Joan & Elide;
Distributing the tim-tam-tea practice to Chiara;
A jewish dinner with Fernando;
Crazy Italian pubs with Anna, in Rome;
An astonishing view of Tel-Aviv with Pablo y Micaela;
A night in a dark club with Caroline & Conrad from Poland, after drinking some Polish vodka;
An all-israeli evening, including Hummus and partying with Tim & Bartek from US & Poland;
A very mysterious trip to Jaffa with Tina from Germany;
An Israeli independence day party with Craig & family;
A quiet and interesting night with Stephanie from San-Fransisco;
A wonderful dinner with Robert and a couple he hosted;
A walk in Rotchild St. with Laima.

Interests

Traveling together - we try to travel for one consecutive month every year! (doing that for the fifth year in a row)
Music - diverse. Multi-ethnic. Wonderful.
Tel-Aviv nightlife - Clubs? Pubs? Night swims? We have it all!
Movies - The proud owners of !50 original movies, and one night in every week at the cinema.
Languages - We can mumble our way in Russian, Polish, Yiddish, Spanish, French, Persian, Arabic, and of course English, Hebrew, and aggressive hand gestures :)
Sports (some of us) - averagely, we do some sport: Yoav does a lot, and Meytal does none.
Books - We read and read and read.

Movies - Lives of others; Sin nombre; Israeli films; Cohen brothers; Mob movies (The goodfellas, the godfather, Carlito's way); Jack Nickolson (One flew over the coocoo's nest; The Shine).
Music - Everything British from the 60's and 70's. Pinkfloyd, Led Zeppeling, Camel, Genesis, Love, Yes, Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, Crosby Stills & Nash, Neil Young, Paul Simon, The Beatles.

Teach, Learn, Share

In every field of interest we can learn and be taught:
Baking - we are best with cakes, and would love some recepies from abroad.
Cooking - chickens, mushroom pie, fish, and some more.
Gardening - always happy to share tips about organic gardening.
Languages - we are working on Spanish and French. We can contribute some phrases in Russian, Polsih & Arabic too!
