Hello - I'm Will :)

I spent last much of last year travelling, and now feel a definite desire to stay a bit closer to home and see more of the UK.

I'm essentially a sensitive, quietly passionate introvert. I struggle with loud or aggressive people, and appreciate it when others are kind, see the funny side of life, and live in a way that makes them happy.

I love history, and writing stories, and running in the countryside, and films that make you feel, and twinkly irony, and English folk music, and jive dancing, and little, quiet old country churches, and people who make silly face at children, and long, engrossing board games, and audiobooks, and scrambled egg, and English self-deprecation, and when strangers in big cities smile at you, and green places, and when friends give compliments, and when people take risks to make their lives better, and singing in the shower with the window open.

And... I love Couchsurfing!

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

A 22-character play I've written was performed by a local Amateur Dramatics group in April 2019, and by all accounts it went really rather well!

For prospective hosts... I like listening, and trying new things - so I'll hopefully be someone worth having about for a bit.

For prospective surfers whilst I'm still in Oxfordshire... I find the best hosts are people who really love their area, and I really do love Oxfordshire, so I'll do my best to show you why. I do live with my Dad though, so it's probably worth making it clear in your request that you're not going to steal our TV.
