I'm a freelance journalist, originally from Wales, whose been living in Athens since 2015. I write mainly about the refugee crisis but also increasingly about Greek politics. Lately I've been doing less writing and more photography and videos. I live in the very cool and unique neighborhood of Exarcheia and I love it: cafes and bars on every street corner, music always playing and a farmers market outside my door every Saturday!

I'm very interested in politics and current affairs and travel and geography and history and languages... Photography is a new interest of mine and I'd like to learn more about it if any couchsurfers can share their experience. I also really like cooking (but don't cook as much as I'd like) and I always love to learn new recipes from different parts of the world. And hiking: I like serious hiking trips to remote locations, preferably mountains, preferably with a tent and sleeping bag.
