About Me
PHILOSOPHY
The world can change for the better if we sit down at the table one to one and one at a time.
Hey there! Hola! Grüezi! Ahoj! Aloha! Salut! Hej! Hvordan går det? Oli Otya?
I recently moved from San Francisco where I lived off and on for the last 17 years. I had to come back to Arizona for a time to be with family.
If the timing is right I can host. I have a large 70's ranch style home in a canyon in between The Grand Canyon and Las Vegas so if you are passing through and need a rest, let me know. If I can't host, then please feel free to hit me up as I'd love to meet up for coffee or a drink or show you a site.
I love to travel and love to meet people from abroad and share experiences and cultural exchange. I have lived in Uganda, gone to school in Prague and spent a lot of time in Europe. I just got back from a 10 week 9 country stint in Europe Fall of 2016. Did a trip to Thailand, Bali and Singapore 2 years ago; my first time in Asia. I think one of my favorite places of all was Ireland. I love dancing, hiking, music, massage, dinner in and out, good wine, drives in the country and spending time with friends. I am interested in self awareness and try to develop myself continually.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love travel and anything cultural. I believe that the more we reach out to people of different nations, the closer we become. I traveled in an international musical and have friends in over 30 nations. Sometimes they send their friends my way. I love it. The world is getting smaller.
Interests
Travel, self awareness, books, hiking, beach, music, love love love languages and attempting to learn what I can. I have a small animal sitting business on the side. Although I cannot have animals in the city, I love them.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all kinds of music from EDM to pop to rock to some country and lots of oldies. 60's - today. I love Lady Gaga, Erasure, Fleetwood Mac, Indigo Girls, Sia, Maroon 5, Avicii, Foster The People, Tears For Fears, Alison Moyet to name a few
I love movies and am hooked on some Netflix shows right now; Grace & Frankie, Sense8, & The Fall to name a few. I read 35 books when I lived in Africa. That is not that many for a 2 year period. Mostly I read spiritual books or self awareness stuff when I do read. I love a good mystery or love story. :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was able to go on a safari in Zimbabwe and sleep in the wild; go lion tracking and visit Victoria Falls. I also go to go to Jane Goodall's island for chimpanzees in Uganda's Lake Victoria district; both amazing experiences of a lifetime. There are too many things to pick just one.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share what I know and where to go in San Francisco as well as some spots in Arizona where I am now temporarily! I can share my understanding of my view of the world and how important I think it is that we try and break down the barriers between the nations. I believe that by getting to know each other one at a time, this is possible.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my travel experiences and although I don't really consider myself a typical American, I can attempt to try and share my culture and my view of the country I was raised in. I have been fortunate to have been to about 40 of our States so I've been able to see quite a bit. San Francisco is not so typically American either and there is a unique culture in and of itself there.
