I am a recent graduate of Colorado College where I designed my own major in Ecological Journalism and Media. My thesis film was about a woman who herds 500-2,500 goats at a time as a form of ecological weed control. I grew up in a small mountain town in Colorado spending all my time outside. You can't go into town without seeing someone you know at every stop and it's great to get to meet people who have that connection to their town.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's great to get to know what it's like to feel a part of a place as soon as you arrive and meeting great people who live in these places is the best way to do that. Like I said, I grew up in a small mountain town in Colorado where you can't go into town without seeing someone you know at every stop and it's great to get to meet people who have that connection to their place.

Interests

I love everything outdoors. I grew up hiking, backpacking, kayaking, mountain biking, climbing, etc.
I also love good food, music, and friends.

As I have grown up I have traveled more and found a love for the energy and intrigue of the city as well.

In my free time I do ceramics, cook with friends, spend time outside, play ultimate frisbee and soccer, make my own ice cream, do yin yoga, and think about what my next film might be.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While in the Czech Republic I worked with two friends to create a short film in Czech that was shot on 16mm film stock. I never thought I'd make a film entirely in another language, but hope to do it again!
