I'm really no good at personal descriptions. I believe people are too complex to fit into small summaries. My friends would probably say I'm introverted, know way too much for my own good, hard-working, loyal, and dedicated.

Interests

My interests can tend to be on the boring side, but that's not to say I'm boring or that the world bores me, I just love to think about everything. Colin Powell once said "A mind is a terrible thing to waste." So I love, and value, the simple acts of thinking and meditation. I'm a self described "professional pedestrian" who values using a mode of transportation that isn't harmful to the environment.

Music, Movies, and Books

My mission statement is a hint to one of my favorite songs (John Mayer's "3x5"). I love any type of music as long as it doesn't hurt my ears. On the movie front, I love Edward Norton films (Fight Club among others), but I have a sweet spot for just about any foreign film that manages to sync the dialogue with the subtitles. I read what I'm assigned to read in class, which means I read material that shocks me to a revelation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I attended one of the coolest high schools in the country. I've seen what learning in a place of history can do to your mindset.

I know quite a bit about American history, but I don't express it with a great deal of pride and patriotism.
