ABOUT ME

I am easygoing, I love exploring and learning from life's lessons. I grew up half my life in Lima and the other half in Kansas. I currently live in Portland, OR and love it here. I work helping people open up small businesses and my job is very rewarding.

PHILOSOPHY

Every human being has dignity and deserves to be treated with respect. We should treat others like we wish to be treated. I believe that we are in this world to test ourselves. We all have different skills or abilities and we need to apply them to help others and make this world a better place for those to come after us.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I first heard about Couchsurfing through other couchsufers I met in Peru while staying in a hostel. I decided to use couchsurfing for the first time when I move to my new college and had no place to stay. I was skeptical at first, but my first couchsurfing experience couldn't have gone any better. My host, Michael, was kind enough to pick me up. He was very hospitable and made me feel right at home when I didn't know anyone and was new to the city. Because of this first great experience I decided to host and travel as well. Couchsurfers are some of the most genuine, fun, and smartest people I've ever met. I hope to be part of this community for a long time.

Interests

I love reading the newspaper and books that pertain to my interests. I would like to be a great city manager some day and I am trying to absorb as much as I can about great public figures, urban planning, city policies, and other issues affecting cities and society. I love traveling and exploring other towns and cities. I have a small journal where I jot down ideas or where I write about experiences that will shape how I work in the future. I love the outdoors as well and playing all kinds of sports. My favorite sports include beach volleyball, tennis, and chess (I consider it a sport!).
