About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Currently on a post-University solo trip to learn about everything our world has to offer.
ABOUT ME
I moved around during my early years - New Zealand, Singapore, America and Australia. This has made me a highly adaptable person, balancing extroversion and introversion.
I can turn up with the extrovert, and I can quietly mull over more important things with the introvert.
I love to laugh, I enjoy self-reflection and I balance time with others and time spent alone developing.
PHILOSOPHY
This is something I find hard to define. It is like asking a professional golfer how they made their shot.. they don't tend to put it down into an analytical statement - thats for the coaches - they just tend to do it.
I've been told I am rather profound. I am often called upon for advice when dealing with an issue, or just to have a talk.
I believe all people and things can flow well with you with the right mind frame.
I am a believer in people doing what they want, and not being too externally influenced.
Where I may not share the same views (e.g. political or religious, to a favourite sports team), I believe in accepting the others view point and that neither are right or wrong, only another perspective.
My outlook on life is hard to define.. I prefer to show it through my actions in my life and my interactions with people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently travelling, so I would only be surfing for the time being.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have met all sorts of people in my life so far. Many of which have put me up while I have been on my current trip.
From sleeping on their floor, couch, foldout or bed, I have done it many times. I'm writing from a friends couch right now.
Couch surfing allows you not only see a new place, but experience the actual lifestyle of the culture around that area. You adapt to the surrounding culture, fuelling the learning experience that comes with travel.
Interests
I really enjoy being active and dabbling in all sorts of activities, including - snowboarding, rugby, football (soccer), tennis, rock climbing, wake boarding, bungee jumping, sky diving.
On top of this, I really enjoy my quiet, down time - reading, writing, self reflecting, guitar, social dynamics, human interactions.
I love going to a cafe and reading a book or writing out some thoughts. I love walking around a city and following where my instincts take me.
I enjoy trying my hand at everything and anything, as this brings upon a greater perspective through experience.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
Impossible to define in one, but my favourite band is Fleetwood Mac.
I am constantly finding new music and am extremely open minded to all genres. I've been told I have great taste. I think that music is a situational thing, and that all genres and styles have their place in our life. But of course I still have my 'go-to' bands.
Books:
'The Picture of Dorian Gray' - Oscar Wilde
'The Alchemist' - Paulo Coelho, 'Candide' - Voltaire.
I love reading about humans and their interactions, body language, etc.
Movies:
I love comedies. My favourite thing is laughing. I don't watch a lot of movies as I prefer to be doing things, but I appreciate a good flick and am developing a finer appreciation for short and independent film.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Survived the Y2K melt down ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
I believe my greatest gift to share with others is my perspective. It isn't something I can define, but people have told me I am magnetic and I think it is for that reason.
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, Indonesia, Japan, United Kingdom, United States
