I'm a Law/Politics student from Melbourne. I specialise in international politics and foreign affairs especially Iranian and Middle Eastern politics. I'd love to get into journalism and become a war correspondent. And of course I love to travel.

Personal philosphy...don't have one...sorry. All I say is live life as you want. I dont believe in fate or destiny because I believe that everyone makes their own choices!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have plenty of foreigners come crash at mine (none through CS yet but through friends of friends of friends kind of thing. I've couchsurfed through the Middle East a bit but would love to do more.

Interests

Travelling - I guess. Movies, beach, driving for hours and hours, having coffee with friends, and so much more.

Favourite music: everything from Chilli Peppers to Yelle to the Beatles to Muse.
Books: Harry Potter of course, Game of Thrones, any book by Robert Fisk, Lord of the Rings.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volcano in Iceland; Chernobyl in Ukraine; Inca Trail in Peru; being arrested in Iran (looooong story); being stuck in the middle of the 2011 riots in Egypt; traveling from St Petersburg to Beijing by train, going to North Korea for Kim Il Sung's 100th birthday, hitch hiking through Northern Iraq.
