Overview
About Me
A simple and easy going person. I believe one of the greatest joys in life is being able to share.
I like being alone once in a while, but I do believe happiness is even more real when shared.
I am a biologist, and I have dedicated some years studying tropical plants and frogs. I am currently working as a medical interpreter, which has been a memorable experience for being able to help people communicating in crucial situations.
I am from Bahia, in north-eastern Brazil. People from where I am from tend to be quite welcoming and empathetic, and I consider myself to be a bit like that. Sometimes I appreciate minding my own business, I can be both introvert and extrovert depending on the situation.
I love music, and for me life does not make much sense without it. I love playing the guitar and the flute :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Most of all, because of its people. I have been both a host and a guest in CS since 2015 and it provided me the opportunity to meet amazing human beings and their unique perspectives on life. Since the pandemic I got quite restrained, but now things are coming back to normal.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being born into this world - nothing beats the miracle of life! Being conscious of one's self is a phenomenon I contemplate nearly everyday.
Apart from that I have some accomplishments I am proud of myself, like being awarded a scholarship to study in Australia for one year. There I have also started a food-truck business with two other friends, we started selling beijús (it's a tapioca-based staple food from Brazil) in street food markets. After that period I did some WWOOFing in India with my girlfriend at the time, which allowed me to have a good insight into that amazing culture.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to learn about everything and can teach many different topics such as macramé knotting, recipes and my perspectives on music (I play a bit of flute and acoustic guitar).
What I Can Share with Hosts
Different perspectives, good chats. I also know some good recipes we could share together :) Apart from that, I guess we would have to discover what we have in common o/
