About Me

My personal philosophy is that life is made rich by the relationships we share with others. I am interested in how people of different walks of life experience joy and cope with challenges. This philosophy has taken me to 13 countries and is teaching me to live heARTfully.

I have a BS in nutrition and food science and am awaiting acceptance into occupational therapy programs. I want to help people with injury, illness, or disability achieve what they wish for but never thought possible.

This dream means that I have an insatiable appetite for learning how to do things, understanding people who are different than me, and the world around us.

Kindness and genuinity are the first traits that I look for in a person. And smiles.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I had a boyfriend who hosted couch surfers! It was a great way to bring the world into his home and to pay happiness forward.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saved someone's life by preforming CPR.

I have (professionally) taken people of all ages and abilities skiing in the mountains of Winter Park, Colorado. This includes people who have quadriplegia, amputations, vision impairment, and intellectual disabilities such as autism or Downs Syndrome.

Teach, Learn, Share

I brew beer, kombucha, and make cheese. I am a good cook and I understand the chemistry of food and physiology of what happens when you eat.

We can practice our Spanish! I lived in Colombia for 4 months last Summer, where no one spoke English.
