ABOUT ME

Hey couchsurfers! My name is Will. I live in Los Angeles, CA, and I run/work at a small design/branding company called ASTRO! I take a ton of photographs, I built websites, I design graphics, and I like to hang out and chat with all kinds of different people. I also ride my bike! And play guitar. And cook food (I am a vegetarian, but I'll eat meat if you cook it for me). I meditate everyday.

I am an ENTP personality and love to meet people.

PHILOSOPHY

I hope to to achieve self-actualization (Maslow's Hierarchy).

I also love dogs. I think dogs are the greatest barometer for charisma. They don't understand language, but they understand emotions quite clearly and respond to them, usually in a really positive way.

Mostly i just try to be mindful. Find extraordinary in the ordinary. Think profound thoughts, and then articulate them in a way that sounds like a trashy Hallmark card. :)

I host people in my home. And I kindly request to be hosted in places that are not my hometown.

Interests

I'm really interested in learning how people work, and learning about businesses.

I also spend a lot of time looking at maps.

I spend a lot of time with friends and family. I meditate everyday. I love to ride my bike, I usually ride about 10 miles everyday. I run my own business, and there are a zillion tasks that go along with that, most of which I find enjoyable. I like taking and editing photos, cooking, reading, writing, and playing my guitar (though I am pretty bad. I still play it everyday).

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I listen to just about anything so long as I can rock out to it: Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Mackelmore, Phish, Nine Inch Nails, Surf Rock, and some fusion Jazz.... Death metal... Ratatat... Michael Jackson... The Grateful Dead. ... Slayer. ... Hank William III. Older Britney Spears. If the music involves someone playing sad slow guitar, I am probably not into it, unless it is profoundly melancholic. Like Johnny Cash's cover of "Hurt".

Movies: My favorite movie is Clueless. Just saw Django Unchained and I adored it. Love anything Tarantino and Star Wars. I also like to watch Oprah.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Drove from New York to Minnesota in one shot. Alone. Twice! It took 22 hours each time! Very intense. It made me feel insane. A feat of will (that is my name).
-Climbing table mountain in Cape Town ... And the Bad lands in South Dakota
-Met Bill Clinton (if dogs are one barometer to charisma, the other barometer is little kids. I loved this guy since I was 4 years old, before I knew anything about his politics. The man is really fucking charismatic)
-Being Self-employed (it's amazing)
-Went to the Gathering of the Juggalos - It was terrifying. I still have never listened to ICP

Teach, Learn, Share

If you are curious, and fired up about something, you''ll probably be able to teach me something. In fact, even if you are a boring, uninterested fuck, you'll probably teach me something inadvertently :) The only way to be boring is to be disinterested.
