ABOUT ME

Hi everyone, my name is Billy and I live with my buddy Alex. I work for a window company in Culver City and Alex works in Redondo Beach. Before work I usually go mountain biking and to the gym, on the weekends it depends. Sometimes I work on my cars and sometimes I go rock climbing in Joshua Tree. I don't have as much free time as I used to, but if you come on a weekend I'll try to show you all the amazing hidden areas along the coast here. I'm not a huge fan of driving in traffic, so I'm sorry but I'm not going to take you to Olvera Street during rush hour. The Hollywood sign is cool, I'll go up there early before it gets too hot and before traffic gets too crazy, but that's about it. I mostly stay near the beach, and if you stay with me you'll see, it's a very nice area with plenty to do. We have very good surf spots, decent mountain biking trails, hiking trails, great kayaking/SUP.

This summer I'll be doing some scuba diving, rock climbing and mountain biking. Anyone is welcome to join. I'll openly admit that I'm not too comfortable letting someone stay at the house when no one is home, so if you want to do that please come on a weekend so I can get to know you a little. Don't expect rides from Alex or myself. Uber and lyft are great. I don't have a problem giving someone a ride, but I had one couchsurfer that kept calling me to take them around like a taxi.

House rules are pretty simple, Alex and I are both 30 and we're both single, so sometimes the house is messy. The common areas for the most part stay clean though. (Bathroom, kitchen, living room) Alex wakes up early and I come home late, so being a ninja is key. I hate being woken up, as I'm sure most people do.

Anyways, I hope anyone reading this isn't discouraged by my negativity, I've just had some bad couchsurfers in the past so I'm trying to apply a better filter. For the most part when couchsurfers come stay we'll plan something around it. One time we went to Vegas (it's only 4 hours and I love Vegas), sometimes we have BBQ's, we've gone whale watching, kayaking with dolphins, the list goes on.

P.S. It's easier to accept guests on the weekends because we both work Monday through Friday. So if you want to stay longer than a weekend you'll have to hang out with my friends and I so I can get to know you better.
PHILOSOPHY

There is such a big world out there and so much to see and do, I would like to do as much as possible with as many people as possible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sitting in rio looking across the bay at corcovado and Pão de Açúcar on a crystal clear day. staying in Ica Peru where there was no electricity or running water, the stars really lit up the sky at night. running from mortars in Afghanistan.
