Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me the people I meet while traveling are just as important as the place I'm going to, if not more so. I would much rather stay at someone's house, cook them dinner to show my gratitude, and spend the evening making a new friend than to stay in a sterile hotel and be closed off from real human experiences. Experiencing the world through the lens of a bubble is no way to live.
