About Me

I am 21 years old and I am from Canada. I am studying Business and International Studies at Bishop's University in Lennoxville, Quebec.
Really look forward to the possibility of staying with hosts and meeting some fantastic people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am hoping to find a temporary places to stay before I move into an apartment in Barcelona. I will be on exchange at the Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona from my university in Quebec, Canada (Bishop's University).

Interests

I've grown up loving the outdoors and I enjoy doing a lot of outdoor sports/activities throughout the year. At the moment I'm most passionate about hiking in the summer/fall and skiing in the winter.
I've become really interested in mixology since I started working as a bartender last summer. Being a bartender is the best job I've had so far!
There is nothing more fascinating to me than discovering other people's language, cuisine, beliefs, traditions etc. Bring it on!

Music, Movies, and Books

Indie Rock, Psychedelic Rock, Classic Rock, Blues, Reggae

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I volunteered in 2013/14 for 10months with the Mae Sot Education Project from Bishop's University and taught English to Burmese migrants and refugees on the Thai/Burma border. I am still involved with the project today and am on the Project's Committee contributing to the selection process of new volunteers and the handling of the Project's finances.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am by no means an expert, but I play guitar and it would be really fun to jam with or teach hosts some songs. The most recent song that I've learned is called Atlas Hands by Benjamin Francis Leftwich.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would be totally open to cook for OR with hosts if they would enjoy that. I really enjoy cooking (Asian, Italian and French). I would really like to swap cocktail recipes and possibly prepare cocktails that I know for hosts. I am more than willing to contribute financially to the host and help out in whatever way they would appreciate most.
