Overview
About Me
I'm now a primary school teacher in Australia.
My major interests and hobbies include archaeology, books, history, science, writings, movies and games.
I studied archaeology at university and am especially interested in the archaeology of trade and culture contact. Everyone who knows me knows I am a prolific reader, I especially love fantasy, sci-fi, historical fiction and mysteries; I also enjoy writing (though I rarely finish anything).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's been a while since I've been travelling and I have very fond memories of couchsurfing. All sorts of experiences, some great, some not so great, and some just weird (ask me about Grenada!)
After a while doing traditional touristy things I always get a hankering to slow down and meet more people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Some Music and Movies, but books are my real passion so.... off the top of my head, anything by:
Ursula LeGuin,Terry Pratchett, Agatha Christie, Salman Rushdie, Philip Pullman, Richard Adams, Jasper Fforde, E. Nesbitt, Edward Eager, Susan Cooper, Robin Hobb, Brandon Sanderson, Philip K Dick, William Horwood, Lewis Carroll, C.S. Lewis, T.H. White, Robert Louis Stevenson, H.G. Wells, Jules Verne, Alexandre Dumas, Arthur Conan Doyle, JRR Tolkien, Jack London, Oscar Wilde, Gaston Leroux, or Rudyard Kipling are good for starters (plenty more who don't spring to mind just now). Plus individual books like Frankenstein or Catch 22, that I've never read more than one of from the author.

Dug up human remains in Spain. I worked as an archaeology student on a pre-roman cemetery in central Spain.
