Overview
About Me
I study law here in Melbourne, Australia, which has also been my hometown for the last 21 years. Recently I was accepted to do a study exchange with Leiden University in The Netherlands for six months, starting in September 2015. I'm looking to do plenty of travelling around neighboring countries before, during and after that period.
I also study journalism, which reflects my love of storytelling and hearing about some of the extraordinary things people get up to.
I think I strike the best balance, right in between introvert and extrovert.
I always try my best to live by the principle of do good to others and they will do good to you, show interest in others and they will show interest in you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In the past I've done my fair share of conventional "sightseeing" tourism. This time I would prefer to have a more meaningful experience, and find the hidden gems of wherever I'm visiting. So Couchsurfing is attractive as a way of saving money, learning the local language, and making friends who I can hopefully show around my hometown one day.
Interests
My main passions would be films and film making, French and European cultures, history, Tennis, hiking, journalism and writing in general.

Music, Movies, and Books
Films: Lord of the Rings, Into the Wild, The Assassination of Jesse James, Amélie, Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction, The Good the Bad and the Ugly, The Shining, and Burn After Reading.
Pretty open as far as music goes, Blues and 60s Rock if I had to name my favorite genres. Some my favorites include The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendricks , Nirvana, The Black Keys, Pink Floyd, The Killers and The White Stripes, to name a couple.
My favorite book is Crime and Punishment, but I also love Kafka's The Trial, and Charles Dickens
Teach, Learn, Share
More than happy to help someone practice English, or have a hit of Tennis for those who are keen.
I'd be really eager to help out with day-to-day stuff, such as cooking, shopping, cleaning up and doing the washing, and whatever would make my host's life a bit easier.
