About Me

I like simple things and nature.
Usually quiet, I unleash my hidden loud side when I'm around friends and/or easy going people. I like neither big parties nor big crowds. I'd rather chill out with a few friends, maybe inviting them home to cook and have dinner together.
Despite being very social, I sometimes need to take a break from evetything and everybody and I may do nothing and see nobody for a couple of days.

VERY IMPORTANT: I'M ALLERGIC TO CATS. Even though I really love them, I can't stay with you if you keep cats in the room I'm going to sleep in.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to stay with locals at their place because it's the best way to learn about a country, get personal experience about cultures and lifestyles and meet new friends. It's also about sharing your time, stories, skills and knowledge. It makes me feel a traveller instead of a tourist. For the same reason I want to be on the other side (hosting) later in life when I'll feel like settling down. And I want to prove myself that you can have a good life and travel experience with a low budget.

Interests

I like to explore. It doesn't matter if its hiking, cycling, kayaking or road-tripping. I crave for new friends, new places and new experiences, usually looking in hidden spots to get the best out of my journey. I also love reading, writing, diy activities and cooking, (even though I'd like to be a better cook) and enjoy playing card and board games. Theatre, both watching and acting, makes me feel happy and relaxed. Always keen for a good chat about history, faith and religion, philosophy, art, politics, science and craftmanship, people's life experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like many different kind of music and many different artists: from Rammstein to Dire Straits, Adele and Lindsey Stirling and italian artists as Fabrizio De Andrè and Davide Van De Sfroos. Sometimes I just pick a couple of songs or albums here and there.

I don't like to watch TV and I got rid of it. Despite this I still enjoy going to the cinema every now and then.

Being a reader since childhood, I shifted from Fantasy and Sci-Fi to biographies, essays and manuals.

Last good books: Into the wild (John Krakauer). Hamlet (William Shakespeare)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Volunteering in a youth centre with heaps of teenagers who drove me mad on a regular basis.
- Australian Catholic Youth Festival 2015.
- Improvising the "Camino de Santiago".
- Six month EVS in Mallorca.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm learning simpler and healtier lifestyle to become closer to nature trying to live with few possessions, make some of my own stuff and grow some of the food I eat. For this reason I'm learning bushcraft and permaculture and I completed a Permaculture Design Course

What I Can Share with Hosts

Mmm... I can teach a few italian card games?
And well, I have a few travel stories to tell ;-)
