About Me
Hello everyone. Recently, well relatively recently, I discovered that I love traveling. Probably my biggest non-mortal fear is stagnation. I can't be like the thousands of people from my hometown who's biggest aspiration is to move to the nicer part of town. No way! I would rather find a place that I can fall in love with and then go looking for a career, not take the best job I can find in some crappy boring town. That attitude has led me to this website. Hopefully somebody will be open and brave enough to host me and allow me to build up some credibility here.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To make like-minded friends and have experiences you can't get by reading guidebooks.
Interests
Camping, hiking, observing nature. Yoga sometimes, walking with headphones in. Cooking. Eating. Reading. Soccer. Gardening
Generally I like being outdoors and staying active more than hanging out indoors. I am however a sucker for a good museum or library.
Ideally I would like to see myself doing something honest and self-driven to make money, ( catch and sell fish, forage mushrooms, pan for gold ) although I know that is highly romanticized and more than likely I will fall back on my trades once money gets tight.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
For the past 2 years I forwent a good paying yet boring job with the Dept. of Archives and History and choose instead to work in Yellowstone National Park as a cook. It allowed me to see some amazing things, do some amazing hikes, save a ton of money just to blow on road-trips, and meet people from all over the world. Doing this has really shaped my personality and desires more than 24 years of living a normal life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am interested in learning how to manage a small garden.
Also I would like to learn to identify and cook various edible mushrooms.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Conversation. Companionship. A good laugh.
I would be happy to cook for us. I have experience with high volume cooking and truly enjoy cooking fresh, healthful food for myself/others.
