I'm a 26 year old recently moved to Michigan to spend some time with my grandfather. I have been fortunate enough to do some international traveling in my life and am currently enjoying a bit of exploration of the U.S. I'm substitute teaching to cover my living expenses but am primarily focused on getting out of the grind for a bit. Growing up in small town Oregon led to my love of the outdoors and wandering about is in my blood. I've worked in the wood products industry for a number of years and spent some time in graduate school. Still trying to find what it is that really gets me going.

I'm interested in meeting people who share my optimistic, seeing-the-best-in-people outlook that I feel couch surfing lends itself to. I always enjoy hearing stories and learning from those I meet. I would much rather spend an evening chatting or simply enjoying a new space then staying at another run of the mill campsite. Trying to live life on the cheap as a substitute teacher while still adventuring as much as I can. Looking forward to meeting you!
