Overview
About Me
Hello, my name is William Hunter and I'm currently living and working in Jember, East Java, Indonesia. I have previously lived in Albania, and have spent the last few years working with various international development organizations around the world. I am in the process of learning Indonesian, I speak passable Albanian, and, as a native of the Southeastern United States, I speak English with just a bit of a southern drawl. Like almost everyone on Couchsurfer, I love traveling, learning about new cultures, and meeting new people. Also, I'm a bit obsessed with cycling, and love to spend my free time exploring the world on two wheels.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Unfortunately, due to the nature of my work I do not make much money and cannot always afford to stay in hostels or hotels when traveling. This is fine by me, however, because I really enjoy meeting and interacting with new people and getting a taste of the "local" life, so to speak, whenever I am traveling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I rode my bike from the Adriatic coast to Istanbul in five days...
I guess now that I think about it most of the "amazing things" I've done simply involve riding a bicycle for really long time.
