Overview
About Me
A little about me: I'm Greek. And for all of you who have seen "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," no, I'm not like that (I might eat a lot, but that's it. I swear!). I've got a passion for learning which can be translated as me being way too curious (I've been told it'll get me killed one day) but that's also good because I'm willing to challenge the conventional wisdom shoved in my face all my life and create my own form of thinking. I grew up in New York City so you'll recognize the accent once you speak with me (You tawkin ta me?). I'm pretty down to earth and easygoing. I don't let things bother me and I do what I can so it doesn't happen again to those around me (the phrase "Sh!t happens. Life goes on. Be strong enough so that it doesn't happen again," comes to mind as a summary). I love getting to know people and I look forward to seeing new places around the world :)
Philosophy- If a man doesn't have his word and his ability to say the words he truly feels, then what has he got?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've never couchsurfed before, I've never really travelled either. I've always wanted to go anywhere and everywhere and my friend recommended this community after having experienced it themselves. Travelling has always been a long standing passion of mine and what better way to start than with this large community of surfers wiling to share their experiences with everyone else? At one point, I intend to share my home with people, but I want to experience this world of travelling first.
Interests
I'm honestly not sure how to summarize my interests so let's just leave it at "I love trying out something I've never done before and pushing my limits."
- traveling
Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a pretty eclectic guy when it comes to music and movies. I'm a particular fan of biographical dramas and those psychologically thrilling mysteries. Basically a good movie with a good plot that keeps you invested and interested even after the end. Music...well as long as it isn't screaming metal, show tunes, or that southern country music that has a mention of the singer's beer and his truck, I'm good with anything. As for books, I like to taste a bit of everything but my literary taste is very similar to my taste in movies. I especially like thought provoking novels that will actually get me to question what I already know.
Teach, Learn, Share
Learning-I love learning something I didn't know before. People usually have that hesitance to admit they're ignorant, but I believe that is the first step. Only when you can admit you don't know something can you actually start learning.
