About Me
I just moved to San Diego from Maryland to attend graduate school for counseling psychology. I spend a lot of my time doing personal growth activities, homework, and thinking about meeting new people. I love the outdoors and cooking most of all. But it's not the same when you can't share it with good friends or someone special. Would love to meet others interested in similar stuff, Compassion and steering clear of judgment of others is a thread that fuels everything that I do. Somethings that I really value are family, community, nature, spontaneity, silence, laughing, touch, deep conversation, and most of all authenticity. I feel most myself when I'm in the kitchen with fresh local ingredients on the counter, really good music playing, a glass of wine, and someone wonderful to share it with. I love to rock climb and fish (but only when it's with good friends to share it with)
What I’m doing with my life
As I said above I am attending graduate school in Santa Barbra for Counseling Psychology. So I'm definitely doing a lot of homework. We only meet once a month for 3 days, so I drive down. I work 3 days a week, so I have 4 days to do homework and hang out. Trying to get enough sleep. My mind is always thinking about the future and the past (got that from my dad). I try hard to stay present and live in the moment. Meditation definitely helps, but I don't do it as often as I would like. I really like to find creative ways to exercise, especially outdoors. When I get the chance, I like to spend some days in nature either hiking, rock climbing, ice climbing, snowboarding, skiing, picnic, swimming, or going out to see live music. I like to go to farmers markets and spend time cooking. I'm open to all sorts of stuff, I love learning stuff from other people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm currently looking for a place to stay in San Diego while I find a place of my own. I am looking for a place around the Encinitas/Oceacside area.
