About Me
IMPORTANT: If requesting to stay, please read my home information!
I'm easygoing and open minded, looking to forge new connections with friends I've yet to met! I spend my spare time trail running, bouldering, thrifting, frequenting cafes and watching the world go by. My main interests are simple living, environmental protection, social justice, nonviolent communication, travel and seizing the means of production.
I love meeting new people and experiencing new places and cultures, so let's be pals!
I'm a neat and respectful guest and am always willing to help out by cleaning, cooking, gardening, etc. Non-smoker and vegan (it's a hassle, I know).
"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of [people] and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime." - Mark Twain
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's always a good time spinning yarns with people who are from different places and who are a part of different cultures. Diversity is good stuff and I find spending time with locals to be significantly more meaningful and rewarding than passing through hostels and tourist traps. Also, it's free! Woohoo! Down with the money-go-round!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiked the Te Araroa Trail, a continuous 3000 km backcountry down the length of New Zealand for 5 months as a fundraiser. It was easily the most worthwhile and valuable experience of my life thus far!
Also traveling for a year, falling in love once or thrice, and coordinating a refugee shelter in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to make a killer peanut butter sandwich.
I think Couchsurfing is an incredible opportunity to immerse yourself in another person's culture and to provide meaningful, valuable interactions between people from all walks of life. I can offer everything that is lil' old me, and I'm all in for learning about you!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Why, my fantastic personality of course! As a Kiwi I can give an international traveller the skinny on New Zealand culture and offer them a place to stay if they find themselves down south. I'm very open minded to new experiences and meeting new people, so I would love the opportunity to get involved in local activities with hosts and guests by sharing my time.
