About Me

I enjoy the adventurous and sociable couchsurfing community in general, which gives me a chance to give back for my experiences couchsurfing in the past, and build goodwill for the future. I'm excitable and optimistic; I'd rather be the first to fail than the last to try. Because i'm so energetic, i live a very active lifestyle that includes quite a bit of exercise, crazy cool discoveries and adventures.

I'm pretty certain that by the time I'm an old man i'm going to be the really cool grandpa that has a million stories! hah.

I am definitely the open-minded, curious, and exploratory type in food, music, and pretty much every area of life that you can think of. When asked if I'd done something, the answer is more often than not yes, when asked if i'd try something, the answer is almost always yes!

PHILOSOPHY

You only live once!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was helped out in the past when i crashed at someones home (when i was referred to by a friend), and this summer i'm free to both give back as a host and hopefully build some credence for when i travel in the future!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Only one time - It was an awesome experience, they were a very kind family that gave me the best time in Puerto Rico. Got free food and they showed me all around the island, it was such a blast!

Interests

Traveling, Sports, Cooking, Music, Learning new things, meeting people, technology, making inappropriate jokes

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - My taste in music is not terribly deep but relatively broad because I've had friends from all corners that enjoy so many different genres. You could catch me listening to just about anything from Biggie Smalls to Colbie Caillat, from Slayer to Tolby Keith, you might catch me at a house concert but i've also been to country bar dance offs. And yes, I dance, i have no idea how to do it, but i enjoy going on stage and making a fool out of myself when given the opportunity, my friends seem to think I do a pretty good job at it, particularly when drunk.

Movies - Godfather, Gladiator, Lost in Translation: in that order!

Books - The Fountain Head, Great Gatsby, The Alchemist, Don't sweat the small stuff, Sun Tzu's Art of War

Countries I’ve Lived In

China, United States
