About Me

Born and raised in a small suburb of Los Angeles, I love food, art, architecture, and I love to explore new neighborhoods. Lived in San Francisco and Portland.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love being a guide. I like to show off my city--It is very beautiful to me. Surfed it in Vancouver, BC, Canada, Flagstaff, Arizona, and Sedona, Arizona, Berlin, Germany, Krakow, Poland, Berlin, Germany, and Detroit, Michigan. Hosted people in Portland, Oregon and Los Angeles.

Interests

Food, exploring new neighborhoods, architecture, photography, tennis, hiking, biking, modern and contemporary art (e.g. Ed Ruscha, Olafur Eliasson, John Baldessari).

Music, Movies, and Books

I rarely watch major Hollywood movies, mostly documentaries and independent films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the vastness of the Gardens of Versailles--it was a perfect day where the clouds parted and the sunlight broke through the garden in a way illuminated the trees, ponds, and sculptures.

Hawaii--hanging out with local people on Kauai'i island, saw and experienced so many things that I would never see as a typical tourist-that's the best feeling and one of the most enlightening times in my life. I would like to see more through the eyes of a local--not too much the tourist places, but more on the off-beaten path.

Jiuzhaigou in Chengdu, China--it's the most beautiful national park I have seen, 10x better than Yellowstone National Park

Aix-en-Provence and Marseilles - Drove around with some fellow CSers, Swam in lakes, sprayed ourselves with lavender water to keep cool, and ate some amazing food. Enjoyed the architecture and night life of Marseilles -- I think it's my favorite French city thus far!
