ABOUT ME

I am a doctoral student of social history from Southern Germany, currently living and studying in Vienna, Austria. In the summer, I work as tour guide for German-speaking tourists in Ireland and Scotland (since I studied in Dublin for a year in 2007/08).

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I think it's just a fun way to interconnect personally with local and/or expat people directly in their hometown or area, and vice versa, I like the concept of sharing your place with others and being able to show them your area. You just learn a lot about places, people, cultures and you pick up bits and pieces of the local language and/or custom up as well.

Intereses

reading, talking about geography, history, politics, sports, but also a fan of the great outdoors (hiking, swimming, walking), cycling everywhere, if possible, and a long-distance runner...

Hiked all around the Isle of Skye, Scotland. "Isle of Skye"=synonym for "amazing"!

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

a place to sleep, eat, drink, hang out, relax, and also a tour of the immediate environs, a more extended tour and trip of my favourite local places and of course, also depending on what you want to hear, see, experience :-)
