ABOUT ME

Grew up in Washington, DC, went to college in the South of the United States. After school, moved the Mexico City where I lived for 4 years. Just quit my job and am spending 3 months in Brazil to learn Portuguese.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am just starting to use couch surfing after it was recommended by a friend as a great way to practice Portuguese and get to know Brazil. My favorite way to travel is to get to know the local people. What do they think of their city? What is their perspective? Looking forward to hosting people when I move to Chicago after traveling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Am just starting to use couchsurfing.com, however, I have stayed with and hosted people who were friends of friends or ever who I just met on the street. It's always nice to give someone a hand and to get or give a glimpse of life in your town.

Always loved taking visitors to Plaza Garibaldi in Mexico City, where people from all walks of life have too much tequila, listen to Mariachi music and pay street vendors to shock them with "toques."

Saw an incredible sunrise from the top of Iztaccihuatl, Mexico's third highest peak.
