I'm a big fan of random acts of kindness, chivelry and anything that makes you grin like an idiot. Also the art of being imaginatively stupid. And really bad puns.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate for myself by checking the site, finding cool folk and killing time wondering where I should go next. This is a way to take a good grip on your life and get off your ass in order to do something really exciting and cool. It's adventue dammit!

For other folk? Well I humbly offer my tiny island but I'm not sure if you would really want it... Hopefully I can share some cool stories and cook some generous people asome tasty food. Big fan of edible tokens of gratitude.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Meeting random people is always fun and a bit of the old couch surfing seems to come along naturally thereafter. Most recently? Hmm...

I think it would be after an all night party in Osaka Castle. I was blown away by the hospitality of a lovely aussie couple who let me and a bunch of randoms stay at thier place before enjoying some lovely tea and toast.

Doesn't get much better than that.

On my couch have stayed many a bud. Here in The Japan I've had the honour of hosting weary travellers from Home, feeding them up and waving them on their way once more. Always fun.

EATING. Food is very very good.

Meeting new people - always fun. Even if they aren't going to be your best mate and even if they actually seem like damn fools (and not in a good way) you can still learn a lot and have fun. Everyone's got a coupla stories up their sleeves.

I once took all my clothes off with a lot of other people all in the name of art. that was quite something.

I also once ate (and finished) the self-proclaimed "Hottest Curry in the World". That was an amazingly stupid thing to do and I7m amazed I still have any intestines left.
