ABOUT ME
Me in 5 words: Cook. Baker. Reader. Writer. Connoisseur-of-cheap-wines.
Me in 177 words: I'm currently a grad student in philosophy, but my real passion right now is food---and more specifically, doing what I can to support local food systems. To this end, I help manage a volunteer-run campus cafe here in Toronto called Harvest Noon and I have a little vegan food blog that I occasionally update at http://untilweeatagain.wordpress.com. I am also an avid (though not particularly talented) runner, and a year-round cyclist (which is quite the feat in a city like Toronto where it's winter 8 months of the year). I enjoy outdoorsy things like hiking and camping, too, although I don't have as much opportunity to do those here in a big city. I love books and reading. I also love studying and speaking foreign languages, and am always happy to meet people who share one of the ones I know. I think I lead a fairly quiet life on average, but I always like to go out and have fun, especially when I'm on vacation, and especially when that fun involves drinking and dancing.
PHILOSOPHY
I spend enough time doing philosophy in school, so I like to keep my own simple: be friendly, enjoy life, and make other people laugh.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently, I do not have a couch to offer, but I am always happy to meet up with people visiting Toronto---especially fellow locavores, vegans, runners, cyclists, or anyone else with similar interests. If you'd like to meet me and have me show you around, just drop me a line! My schedule is generally very flexible and accommodating.
