ABOUT ME

In October 2009 I quit a well-paying job... in the deepest recession since WW2... with no clear plan for what I was going to do.

18 months on, following numerous adventures... I still don't have a clear plan for what I'm going to do :)

(I have applied to study for a PhD in Philosophy)

PHILOSOPHY

You need to sort yourself out before trying to help other people. Other people need help, so get busy!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For the foreseeable future I will be traveling and looking to meet CS'ers wherever I go. =)

When I finally settle down, the couch will be opened.

Interessi

Staying in the cinema until the end of the credits. Designing Treasure Hunts. Running, tennis, long cycling trips. Meditation. Talking philosophy with non-philosophers. Secretly dreaming that I will one day do Theatre.

Thinking about the state of the world. Thinking about how to lead my life. Thinking about thinking too much.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

First opera experience at the new Oslo Opera House (Tannhauser, by Wagner). Opening notes sent a bolt of electricity down my spine. By the end I was convinced that what had just happened qualified as a 'religious' experience ('though I wouldn't call myself religious..)
