I am from a small town in Utah USA. I grew up there hiking, camping and doing primitive skills with my family. I worked a team of draft horses farming, caring for the farm animals and helping in the garden.

At 16 I took up sailing tall ships. At 18 I spent 4 months couchsurfing across the UK and Ireland. I met some wonderful people and had the most amazing time. A few years later I sailed across the Atlantic from the Canary Islands to Uruguay on the Bark Europa.

Since then I spent time living in a converted school bus, home-birthed a child and am rebuilding my life from the ashes of my past.

I would love to continue to travel and share the world with my daughter.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like meeting new people and it is nice to learn more about a place from people than from a tour book.
From my experience to truly be in a place one must become a part of it. I do not like the tourist way of travel and much prefer to wander the back roads and sleep in the open.

Interests

Hiking, camping, sailing, sword fighting, reenacting historical times, traveling, reading, dancing in the rain, singing at the tops of mountains....
I love anything historical and have trained in sword-work, martial arts and done reenacting. I love music from before 1930 and good theatrical music too. I am a bit fanatical about random interests that are ever changing. Everything from learning French, fashion, travel, cooking, acting, dance, entomology or something else that catches my interest.
